Efficacies and Doses of Pregabalin [Lyrica] for acute and chronic pain in adults (Cochrane)

“NNT (7.1 to 21) for fibromyalgia.” This means that Lyrica is least effective for Fibromyalgia compared to other chronic pains

NNT: Number of patients who must be treated before one of them is likely to benefit. The lower,
the better.

Treatment of Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) in non-HIV immunocompromised patients


SJCRG: Pneumonia for Immunocompromized patients is even more serious. That means cancer patients etc. This an example of what can be done for such patients.

“There is evidence to show that gabapentin is effective in neuropathic pain. There is limited evidence to show that gabapentin is ineffective in acute pain”
