“… yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, supplements, massage, acupuncture, a relaxing hobby. ..” I would say: all of the above that your time/money can afford without adding stress to the stress.
I doubt that all this grinding stress can be 100% remedied, but, hey, we will take what we can get….

Depression: Exercise Most Effective (Mercola)


MediNewsDigest: Exercise is a very potent antidote to depression, if not the most potent, according to this interview with Robert Whitaker.
What about disabled people, who certainly have reasons to be depressed…I guess less exercise is better than none. Severely disabled: Are meds are the only choice? Then could come the “mental” techniques such as mindfulness.

Antidepressants may work best for people with very severe depression,but may provide little or no benefit over placebo for those with mild, moderate, or severe depression (WebMD)


SJCRG: Only two antidepressant were studied, but they each could be seen as representing two main classes of antidepressants : SSRIs and Tricyclics.
Depressing isn’t it?
Seems trying to get natural endorphins is a good path with less side effects.. Exercise if you can.
