Fibromyalgia: Gabapentin and Pregabalin, a systematic review (MDLinx)


MediNewsDigest: An informative discusion of the doses for Pregablin [Lyrica]. Note that 1/4 patients drop out because of the side effects, and the statement “is effective” needs quantification. Gabapentin [neurontin] data not there.

Study Shows Xyrem May Help Fight Pain and Fatigue in Fibromyalgia Patients

Living Under Stress With Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (Dellwo,about)


MediNewsDigest: Dellwo’ blog discusses a common conundrum. CLICK HERE for link. Of the article de-stressor suggestions:
“… yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, supplements, massage, acupuncture, a relaxing hobby. ..” I would say: all of the above that your time/money can afford without adding stress to the stress.
I doubt that all this grinding stress can be 100% remedied, but, hey, we will take what we can get….
